Summary

In this series of articles Ian reports exclusively for Air Quality News from Pakistan. 

He travels the country by foot investigating the effects of climate change and environmental impacts upon on the local populations. From increasing temperatures and the impacts of glacial melt through to the Plant4Pakistan initiative to increase forestation across the country, Ian considers the climate change issues and some of the responses.

Adventurer, award-winning travel writer and motivational speaker. His biggest adventure to date was the first solo and unassisted circumnavigation of Africa by public transport, a journey of thirteen months and 25,000 miles.

He has also walked more than 650 miles from the southern- to northernmost point of Bangladesh.

He was runner-up in National Geographic Traveller (UK)‘s travel writing competition in 2013, and more recently chosen to contribute to two Bradt travel anthologies: Bus-Pass Britain Rides Again and Roam Alone. He has also written for magazines including Air Quality News, Environment Journal & Adventure Travel
